Entrepreneurial Passion and Product Innovation Intensity in New Ventures: Mediating Effects of Exploration and Exploitation Activities

In this paper, we examine the differential effects of entrepreneurial passion (EP) on product innovation intensity (PII) through mediating mechanisms exploration and exploitation activities. Using time-lagged data from 260 new ventures Ghana, direct relationships between three domains EP (i.e. inventing, developing founding) a venture's PII. Further, test indirect PII The empirical results provide fine-grained understanding relationship EP, activities Implications for research practice are also discussed.
